Port Talbot is a major port city on the shores of Swansea Bay in Wales, England, known for its blend of heavy industry and natural beauty. As one of the central hubs of the British steel industry, it is home to one of Europe's largest steel mills, which underpins the regional economy. Bordering the Bristol Channel, the city's long coastline combines industrial marinas with magnificent beaches, such as Margaret's Beach, popular for birdwatching and coastal walks. Culturally, Baltasand combines Welsh heritage with a modern industrial spirit, with local arts festivals and historic sites such as Abbey Church providing a diverse range of attractions. Conveniently located close to the M4 freeway and around 12km from the city of Swansea, it is the ideal gateway for exploring the South West coast of Wales.
Xinlong County is part of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, China, located on the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau. It is located in the middle reaches of the Yalong River and is famous for its magnificent natural scenery and rich cultural heritage. Covering an area of about 8,570 square kilometers and with a population of about 50,000, Xinlong County has an average altitude of over 3,000 meters and has a plateau temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons.
The region is famous for the Yalong River Grand Canyon, Tsoka Lake and the unique Danxia landforms, making it a paradise for outdoor adventure and photography enthusiasts. Xinlong also boasts a deep Tibetan culture, including the legend of King Gesar, Tibetan Buddhist temples such as the Yixi Monastery, and traditional festivals and handicrafts. The economy is based on agriculture, animal husbandry and tourism, with ecotourism emerging in recent years. Transportation relies mainly on highways, and is about a 10-12 hour drive from Chengdu, making it an important node on the Western Sichuan Tourist Circuit.
