In recent years, with the gradual reconstruction of Iraq after the war, Bedra has played an important role in regional trade and security affairs due to its geographical location. The local community, with its predominantly Arab and Kurdish ethnic groups, is culturally diverse, with a pace of life that blends tradition and modernity. Despite the challenges of post-war recovery, Baidra has shown resilience and is one of the epitomes of development and stability in north-western Iraq.
