Bachu County is located in the southwestern part of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, belonging to the Kashgar Region, and is situated at the northwestern edge of the Tarim Basin, which was an important node on the ancient Silk Road. The area is dominated by Uyghur culture, with a blend of diversified ethnic characteristics, and is rich in historical relics and natural landscapes.
