Located in the northeast of the province of Buenos Aires, the city of Avellaneda is a central part of the Greater Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, situated on the banks of the Río de la Plata, just 12 kilometers from the capital city of Buenos Aires. The city, named after the 19th century Argentine president Nicolás Avellaneda, is an important witness to the industrialization of Argentina. As an important industrial center of the country, Avellaneda has a diversified system of industries such as steel, chemicals, food processing, etc., and its port is a hub connecting the inland and the Río de la Plata, which plays a key role in the transportation of large quantities of goods. It is also a vibrant area with renowned sports organizations such as the Independiente Athletic Club. Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy.
