Asosa is the capital of the Benshangul-Gumaz region of western Ethiopia, located in the Asosa area near the border with Sudan, and is an important administrative and commercial center in the western part of the country. Nestled in the transition zone between the highlands and the lowlands, the city enjoys a temperate climate and is surrounded by an agricultural industry that focuses on coffee, grain and cotton cultivation, and a local market that is active due to cross-border trade. Westlake is a city in Calcasieu Parish in the southwestern U.S. state of Louisiana, located west of the city of Lake Charles and bordering the Calcasieu River.
