The Town of Arden, located in New Castle County, Delaware, United States, is a town known for its artistic community and single-tax philosophy, founded in 1900 by sculptor William Preece based on Henry George's theory of land taxation. The town, which covers about 0.3 square kilometers and has a population of less than 500, is known for its unique atmosphere of community self-governance and artisanal traditions. The town retains a large number of Colonial Revival buildings, has an independently owned Ardenne Theater, craft stores and community gardens, and residents often trade locally through the Ardenne Fair. As one of the nation's historic arts communities, Arden hosts annual craft fairs, theater productions, and other events that attract visitors to experience its rich utopian community culture, exemplifying the fusion of small-town life and the arts in Delaware.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
