Arba Minch, the capital of the Southern Region of Ethiopia, is located in the southern part of the Rift Valley and is known as the "City of the South". This small city is surrounded by mountains and water, bordered by Lake Abaya in the north and Lake Chamo in the south, forming a unique "gateway to the lakes" between the two lakes, which is an important window for viewing African wildlife. The surrounding Omo National Park is known for its pristine tribal culture and rich biodiversity, attracting tourists from all over the world. As the economic center of the region, Arba Mench is based on agriculture and fisheries, but in recent years, tourism has grown rapidly, making it a must-visit destination for exploring the nature and people of southwestern Ethiopia.
The Hebei Canal of China is an important part of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, mainly covering the Hebei section of the Wei Canal and the South Canal, flowing through Handan, Xingtai, Hengshui and Cangzhou, with a total length of more than 300 kilometers. As a golden waterway for ancient transportation, it witnessed the economic and cultural exchanges between the north and the south from the Sui-Tang Dynasty to the Ming-Qing Dynasty, and gave birth to such cultural heritages as the Iron Lion of Cangzhou and the Xiejiaba of Lianzhen along its banks. Nowadays, the Hebei Canal continues to play an ecological, cultural and tourism value as a "living heritage", linking up the construction of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park (Hebei Section), and becoming an important link to show the historical vein of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei synergistic development, with a sense of historical gravity and modern vitality.
