This small city is surrounded by mountains and water, bordered by Lake Abaya in the north and Lake Chamo in the south, forming a unique "gateway to the lakes" between the two lakes, which is an important window for viewing African wildlife. The surrounding Omo National Park is known for its pristine tribal culture and rich biodiversity, attracting tourists from all over the world. As the economic center of the region, Arba Mench is based on agriculture and fisheries, but in recent years, tourism has grown rapidly, making it a must-visit destination for exploring the nature and people of southwestern Ethiopia.
