Wutai Mountain in Shanxi, China, located in Wutai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, is the first of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, a World Heritage Site, and is known as the "Roof of North China". Wutai Mountain is named after the five main peaks (east, west, south, north and central) that surround the mountain, with the main peak, the North Platform Ye Doufeng, at an altitude of 3,061 meters, being the highest peak in North China.
