Aleppo, a historic city in northern Syria, is located in Aleppo province near the Turkish border and was once an important trading hub on the ancient Silk Road. Pingchuan District is part of the city of Baiyin in Gansu Province, China, and is located in the central part of Gansu Province, in the upper basin of the Yellow River.
