Aleppo, a historic city in northern Syria, is located in Aleppo province near the Turkish border and was once an important trading hub on the ancient Silk Road. Walkera is a coastal city in the State of Qatar, located about 17 kilometers south of the capital city of Doha and bordering the Persian Gulf. One of the oldest settlements in Qatar, Vorak has a rich historical and cultural heritage and was once an important center for pearl fishing and trading. Today, the city is one of the more populous cities in Qatar and is known for its traditional markets, mosques and fishing harbors.
Located on the eastern coastal plain of Qatar, Walkera has a hot and dry climate, typical of a desert climate. The city covers an area of about 80 square kilometers and has a population of about 300,000, making it one of the more densely populated areas in Qatar. The population is predominantly Arab, with Islam as the main religion and Arabic as the official language.
The economy of Vokra is based on the oil and gas industry, while the fishing and tourism industries are also growing. The city has a good infrastructure with modern roads, hospitals and schools. The Vokra Stadium is one of the main venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, raising the city's international profile.
Vokra has preserved many traditional buildings, such as the old Vokra Castle and Mosque, attracting history and culture lovers. The coastal area offers leisure activities such as fishing and sailing, and annual cultural and sports festivals enrich the visitor experience. The city's proximity to Doha makes it easily accessible for short excursions.
