Located in the southeastern part of China's Shanxi Province, Zezhou County is part of Jincheng City and is situated at the southern foot of the Taihang Mountains, making it an important energy and industrial base in Shanxi Province. There are ancient architectural complexes from the Song and Jin dynasties preserved in Zezhou County, among which the colorful sculptures of the twenty-eight constellations at the Yuhuang Temple in Fucheng City are regarded as "the only ones in the world". The ancient temple fair on March 28 of the lunar calendar attracts tens of thousands of tourists every year. Mount Jue Scenic Area is known as the "First Show of Taihang", combining natural scenery and Taoist culture. The local traditional ironware making skill is listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list.
As an important part of Jincheng City's "one-coal" economic pattern, Zizhou County is promoting the transformation and upgrading of the coal industry and vigorously developing new energy and equipment manufacturing. With the Taijiao High Speed Railway passing through the county, ZEZHOU County has obvious advantages in transportation location. In recent years, the foundry industrial park has become an important equipment manufacturing base in North China.
