Located in Knox County, Maine in the northeastern United States, Appleton is a small rural community with a population of about 1,300. Founded in 1829 and named after early settler Samuel Appleton, the town's history is closely tied to the development of agriculture and forestry.
Located in a hilly area, Appleton is surrounded by forests, streams, and farmland, and has a typical rural Maine landscape. The town covers an area of about 92 square kilometers and has a climate with four distinct seasons, attracting visitors with the brilliant colors of the maple leaves in the fall. Major waters include Appleton Brook and surrounding lakes, which are suitable for fishing, boating and other recreational activities.
The economy is primarily agricultural, with blueberries, apples and maple syrup, and local farms are often open for picking experiences. Panshan, under the jurisdiction of Panjin City, Liaoning Province, is located in the center of Liaohe Delta, Liaohe River, Daliao River into the sea, is the northeast plains and the Bohai Bay of the intersection of the main punch.
