Located in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, China, An County is situated at the junction of the West Sichuan Plain and the Longmen Mountain Range, with a total area of about 1,189 square kilometers. The area has a long history, more than 1,400 years since the county was founded in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, with agriculture, tourism and mineral resources as the economic pillars. An County has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and rich natural landscapes, boasting scenic spots such as Luofu Mountain and Baishui Lake, as well as ecological reserves such as the Thousand Buddha Mountain National Forest Park. The local area is characterized by Qiang culture, with well-preserved traditional festivals and folk activities. Convenient transportation is provided by the Chenglan Railway and the Jingkun Expressway, which run through the whole area, about 120 kilometers away from Chengdu. 2020, the county system was abolished and changed to Anzhou District of Mianyang City, but still retains the traditional name of "Anxian County".
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
