Located in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, China, An County is situated at the junction of the West Sichuan Plain and the Longmen Mountain Range, with a total area of about 1,189 square kilometers. The area has a long history, more than 1,400 years since the county was founded in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, with agriculture, tourism and mineral resources as the economic pillars. An County has a subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and rich natural landscapes, boasting scenic spots such as Luofu Mountain and Baishui Lake, as well as ecological reserves such as the Thousand Buddha Mountain National Forest Park. The local area is characterized by Qiang culture, with well-preserved traditional festivals and folk activities. Convenient transportation is provided by the Chenglan Railway and the Jingkun Expressway, which run through the whole area, about 120 kilometers away from Chengdu. 2020, the county system was abolished and changed to Anzhou District of Mianyang City, but still retains the traditional name of "Anxian County".
