Located in the northern part of Shaanxi Province and under the jurisdiction of Yan'an Municipality, Ansei, Shaanxi is located in the hinterland of the Loess Plateau and is one of the important birthplaces of Loess culture. It is famous for the "Ansai waist drums", the majestic and bold drums are known as the "world's first drum" and are listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list. In addition to the drums, Ansai paper-cutting, folk songs, paintings and other folk art has a deep heritage, known as the "hometown of folk art".
