Anren County is a county-level administrative region under the jurisdiction of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, China, located in the southeastern part of Hunan Province, at the western foot of the Luoxiao Mountains. It has a total area of 1,462 square kilometers and a population of about 430,000 people. As a humanistic town in southern Hunan, Anren has profound cultural heritage and ecological resources.
Anren is one of the birthplaces of Shennong culture, known as "Shennong's hometown". The custom of "Catching the Branch Society", which is held every year around the time of Qingming, has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage, combining the trading of medicinal herbs, farming culture and folklore activities, and has a history of 1,000 years. There are ancient architectural complexes such as the Tang Family House and the Sedan Chair House from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Anren has a subtropical monsoon climate and boasts natural landscapes such as Jiulongan National Forest Park and Dashi Scenic Area. The main specialties include Anren Haofeng tea, edible fungi, Chinese herbs, etc., among which "Anren Hovenia" is a national geographical indication product. The Yongle River runs through the whole area, forming a unique landscape and idyllic scenery.
Anren is now served by the Hengchaji Railway, and the Quannan Expressway runs through the whole county. In recent years, Anren has focused on the development of specialty agriculture, eco-tourism and Chinese herbal medicine industry, and the brand influence of "the hometown of Chinese herbal medicine" continues to improve, becoming an important ecological and cultural tourism destination in the southern Hunan region.
Located in Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, Douliu City is the county seat and political, economic and cultural center of the county. The city is located in the northern part of the Jia Nan Plain and has a subtropical monsoon climate with mild and pleasant seasons. Douliu is famous for its agriculture, producing pomelo, willow and rice, and is known as the "Agricultural Capital".
