Anqing, the center city of southwestern Anhui Province and an important port on the north bank of the Yangtze River, is known as the "Gateway to the Anhui River". With a long history, it is the hometown of Tongcheng School of Literature, the important birthplace of Beijing Opera, where Huangmei Opera took root, and masters such as Yan Fengying have made the "Anqing Opera" famous throughout the country. The natural landscape of Tianzhu Mountain is the most important, with strange peaks and rocks, sea of clouds and hot springs, which is a national 5A level scenic spot. As a node city of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Anqing has both profound humanistic heritage and vigorous modern industry, with well-developed petrochemical and machinery manufacturing industries. Relying on the golden waterway of the Yangtze River, Anqing has continued to deepen regional cooperation, and it is an important hub for the southwest Anhui Province to connect with the Yangtze River Delta and radiate to the central and western parts of the country.
