Anning is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Kunming City, Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China, located in the eastern part of the Central Yunnan Plateau, about 32 kilometers away from downtown Kunming. As an important industrial city and transportation hub in Yunnan, Anning is famous for its rich phosphorus resources and hot spring culture, known as "Mantianchuan Treasure Land, Lianran Golden Square".
The city has a temperate subtropical highland monsoon climate with an average annual temperature of about 14.7℃. Famous attractions include historical sites such as the Caoxi Temple and the Fahua Temple Grottoes, as well as the Anning Hot Spring, which is ranked as the "No. 1 Soup in the World".
