Amposta is an industrial city in the province of Tarragona in the Autonomous Community of Catalonia, Spain, located in the northern part of the delta of the Ebro River, about 15 kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea. As the gateway to the lower Ebro River, the city is an important hub for the regional economy with its energy, chemical and logistics industries, deep-water port and industrial parks.
