Amélékié is a town in the south of Côte d'Ivoire, in the Région des Grands Ponts. It has a tropical climate and a predominantly agricultural economy, with cocoa, coffee and other cash crops widely grown in the surrounding area, making it one of the most important agricultural regions in Côte d'Ivoire.
Amélékia is located near the coast of the Gulf of Guinea, about 100 kilometers from Abidjan, the economic capital, and is easily accessible by public transportation. The population is predominantly Akan in origin, and the local culture is a mix of traditional tribal practices and modern urban influences, with a tightly knit community structure.
Typical of rural Ivorian towns, Amélékia's infrastructure is still evolving, with roads and electricity supplies gradually being improved in recent years through government agricultural support programs. The weekly local market is an important hub for the trade of agricultural products in the neighborhood.
The region has a tropical rainforest landscape with small nature reserves scattered around the area. Although not a mainstream tourist destination, it is suitable for travelers who want to experience rural Ivorian life and untouched nature.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
