Alfata is a small, quiet town of about 3,000 inhabitants in the Silistra region of southeastern Bulgaria, with a predominantly agrarian economy that produces cereals, sunflowers and other crops. The town retains the traditional architectural style of the Ottoman period, with old churches and stone houses scattered, exuding a strong historical flavor. The local people are simple, and traditional folk festivals are held every summer, passing on Bulgarian rural culture through songs, dances, and crafts demonstrations. Although it is not a popular tourist destination, its peaceful atmosphere and primitive rural landscape provide a unique perspective for tourists to experience the real life in Bulgaria.
Cuamba, the capital of Mozambique's Tete Province, is one of the country's major inland cities, located in the highlands of the upper Zambezia River in the north of the country. As a transportation hub connecting northern Mozambique with neighboring Malawi and Zambia, Cuamba has a busy road and rail network, and is a key node for regional trade logistics. Economically, Cuamba is agriculturally oriented, producing crops such as cotton, cashews and maize, while the surrounding area is rich in mineral resources, with the rise of the coal mining industry injecting new vitality into the city.
