Abyar (Abyar) is a city in northeastern Libya, located in the Tripolitania region, located in the coastal plain to the inland plateau of the transition zone, about 80 kilometers away from the capital city of Tripoli, is connected to the north and south of Libya, one of the important nodes of transportation. The city's economy is based on agriculture, and the surrounding area is rich in wheat, barley and olives, known as the "breadbasket of Libya". Historically, Abyar was an important stronghold of the Roman Empire, and some of the remains of the Roman period remain in and around the city, such as ancient burial mounds and the ruins of Stonehenge, attracting history buffs and archaeologists.
