Located in the Marrakech-Safi region of southern Morocco, at the foot of the majestic Atlas Mountains, Ait Bahya is one of the traditional Berber villages. It is famous for its well-preserved adobe complexes, unique kasbahs (fortress-like dwellings) and winding stone alleyways, which perfectly demonstrate the wisdom of the Berbers to live in harmony with nature. The village is surrounded by terraced fields planted with olives, apricots and other crops, and the scenery varies throughout the seasons, making it an ideal place to experience Moroccan countryside life. Although not as well known as the neighboring ancient town of Ait Benhaddou, Ait Baha retains a more primitive atmosphere of life, where visitors can taste the traditional Berber cuisine, listen to ancient songs, and feel the deep heritage of North African culture.
Located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, adjacent to Lake Superior, Baraga State Park is one of the state's most recognized nature preserves and recreational destinations. Deriving its name from local history, the park encompasses approximately 59,000 acres and is known for its pristine wilderness, dense forests, and breathtaking lake shoreline.
The park's diverse ecosystems include towering sandstone cliffs, crystal-clear streams and an abundance of wildlife such as black bears, elk and migratory birds. Famous attractions such as "Baraga Falls" and "Painter's Lake" attract outdoor enthusiasts for hiking, camping, fishing and winter skiing.
Baraga State Park retains traces of Aboriginal culture and early logging history, and has an education center that introduces visitors to the region's heritage. Visitors can enjoy peaceful experiences such as canoeing and stargazing, ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
