Lengo is a small town on the western coast of Guadalcanal Island in the Solomon Islands, part of the Guadalcanal Province, about 40 kilometers from the capital Honiara, and is known for its tranquil bays and World War II historical sites. The local economy is based on agriculture and fisheries, with residents growing coconuts and cacao and fishing for tuna and lobster offshore. Rayco Bay was once an important supply base for the U.S. military during World War II, and the old wharves and barracks are still scattered around the area, making it a popular destination for history buffs.
