Located in the northern part of Xinjiang Qizilsu and Kizilsu Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture, at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains, Aheqi County is the main settlement of the Kyrgyz ethnic group, and is known as the "Hometown of the Kyrgyz Ethnic Group in China". The heroic epic poem "Manas", which has been passed down orally here, has been included in the United Nations Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity List. The mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountain in its territory combines danger, steepness, strangeness and seclusion; the grassland of Baalxu is as green as grass in summer; and the folk customs such as the felt houses of the Kyrgyz people and the culture of taming eagles are unique. Combining the vastness of the grassland and the majesty of the mountains, Aheqi is not only a window to experience the nomadic culture of the Kyrgyz, but also a secret place in Xinjiang where diversified ecology and humanities are intertwined, attracting more and more tourists to visit.
