Agraciada is the capital of the department of Florida in Uruguay, located in the south-central region of the country, about 90 kilometers from the capital city of Montevideo. The city was founded in 1809 and its name, meaning "thanksgiving", is derived from a local church dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
