Aghstafa is a city in northwestern Azerbaijan, located on the banks of the Aghstafa River, near the Georgian border and about 480 kilometers from the capital Baku. As the administrative center of the Aghstafa District, the city has a population of about 25,000, with agriculture and railroad transportation as its main economic pillars.
