Adwa is a historic city in the Tigray region of northern Ethiopia, immortalized by the Battle of Adwa in 1896. The battle, in which Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia led his army to defeat the Italian colonial army, not only defended the country's independence, but also became a symbol of the anti-colonial struggle in Africa and inspired liberation movements across the continent. Located on a plateau over 2000 meters above sea level, the city enjoys a pleasant climate and is surrounded by historical sites such as the battlefield ruins and the palace of Menelik II. As an important node of Tigrayan culture, Adwa attracts many historians and tourists every year to witness the resilience of Ethiopia's national spirit and the splendor of its history of resistance.
The suburbs of Heilongjiang, China refer broadly to the non-central areas around the major cities of Heilongjiang province, covering the outskirts and rural areas of the cities of Harbin, Qiqihar, and Daqing. Located in northeastern China, the region has a predominantly cold-temperate climate with long, cold winters and short, cool summers. The natural landscape is rich, including forests, wetlands and farmland, and is a habitat for rare species such as the northeastern tiger. The economy is dominated by agriculture, forestry and resource development, producing crops such as soybeans and corn. In recent years, eco-tourism and the snow and ice industry have gradually developed, attracting tourists to experience natural scenery and winter activities. The transportation network connects the city and the countryside, and the pace of life is slower, preserving more traditional culture and rural features.
