Adale is a coastal town in the Lower Shabelle region of central Somalia, about 250 kilometers north of the capital Mogadishu and bordering the Indian Ocean. As an important agricultural and trade node in the Lower Shabelle region, the local economy is dominated by banana cultivation, livestock and fisheries, and the tropical climate provides favorable conditions for crop growth. Despite Somalia's longstanding security and development challenges, Adale remains one of the key hubs for agricultural exports in the region, thanks to its relatively stable location and coastal resources. The town is surrounded by mangrove ecosystems, which play an important role in maintaining the local ecological balance and fisheries resources.
