Akonibe is the capital of Kiênteme Province in northeastern Equatorial Guinea, located in the tropical rainforest zone of the country's border with Cameroon, situated in the Nkoe River Basin, belonging to the typical tropical rainforest climate zone, with high temperatures and heavy rains throughout the year.
